Transform Your Teaching with Structured Literacy! 📚✨ Join us for an intensive two-day workshop designed for teachers, where you'll gain practical, research-based strategies to build strong literacy foundations in your classroom.

Suitable for teachers of Year 0-8 and teachers who work with struggling secondary students

Day 1 – Introduction to Structured Literacy

This workshop will include:

●  What is a Structured Literacy approach?

●  The importance of Science of Reading (SOR) and Science of Learning (SOL)

●  The importance of phonemic awareness

●  How to use a scope and sequence

●  What are decodable books?

●  Elements of a lesson

●  Assessment, data collection and reporting

●  Orthographic Mapping.

Day 2 – Spelling -Teaching the Patterns and Generalisations of the English Language in a Structured Literacy Way

At this workshop you will:

●  gain knowledge about the patterns and generalisations of the English language

●  observe explicit instruction in action

●  be provided with the resources, practical learning experiences and knowledge to be able to teach these spelling patterns in a structured literacy way
